William Buick is not only a top-class jockey but also actively supports charitable causes.

Family is very much the core of William’s values. With his wife Jane at the helm, William has the commanding advantage of being able to focus on riding and providing for his family of four.

The couple’s eldest son Thomas (aged 6) is autistic and has a learning disability which affects all aspects of his life. These lifelong issues cannot be outgrown, but through the support of his parents, Thomas will have the chance to make progress and thrive.

A former event rider and amateur jockey, Jane readily accepts the sacrifices at home that need to be made in order for William to retain his top sportsman status and fulfil his role as number one jockey to Godolphin.

As a duo, the pair are dynamite. The Buick’s are relatable, realistic and are continually researching and broadening their knowledge of autism and special educational needs to assist others. Their aim is to make sporting social opportunities more readily available and accessible to families that experience autism and its many traits firsthand.
